In Chicago’s Bridgeport neighbourhood, an abandonned warehouse caught on fire. The temperatures at the time of the fire were so low, that the water sprayed on the building froze almost instantly, resulting this enchanting ice palace. More photos here.

Jun Fujiwara designed Re: sound bottle, a bottle that collects sounds in a bottle, much like catching fireflies in a jar. If you uncork the bottle, it starts recording the sounds around you and with these recorded sounds, it forms a database from which it automatically creates rythmic tracks, using the recorded sounds in a loop, which it plays if you uncork the bottle again. Dat gebouw is echt super! Ik dacht dat het gewoon besneeuwd was :) Maar dit verhaal is wel indrukwekkend! Hoe is het zelfs mogelijk eigenlijk, haha? En ik wil wel zo’n leuke stekker! x
Leuke dingen! Die usb stick is geweldig en het ijsgebouw ook :) Ik zoek nog altijd een mooi – niet kitsch! – “m” zegel stempel om enveloppen mooi te maken..
(oké, dankzij jou heb ik bij deze een reisje Portugal geboekt. Porto én Lissabon, dus als je de komende dagen heeeel veel pageviews krijgt ben ik dat, om al je tips en dingetjes uit te pluizen <3)
Ik vond het ook veel zwaarder dan ik dacht om weer thuis te zijn. vooral omdat het allebei ‘thuis’ is geworden na al die maanden. maar het is fijn om er over te dromen om terug te gaan. en dan in de zomer :) liefs
