FATIMA
After having a picnic on the beach in Peniche, our road trip contined to Fátima, a pilgrimage town where people come to ask for health. Next to burning the traditional candles, you can buy all kinds of body parts in wax (hands, hearts, breasts, lungs, you name it) and let them melt in the bonfire next to the candles. We only stopped here for a short time, to take a look at the church and the shops with religious souvenirs, and then we continued our trip. Next up: Coimbra!

wauw mooie foto’s! nee, uiteindelijk niet meer. ik was enkel thuis voor dat feestje op die donderdagavond, en m’n zus en een vriend van mij hadden anderhalf uur in de file gestaan voor tickets om dan te moeten horen dat het uitverkocht was, was dus echt wel balen! maar volgend jaar wil ik ook echt wel naar de activiteiten overdag proberen te gaan :)
Ik was er toevallig op het moment dat de kaartenverkoop bezig was, en de file was inderdaad gigantisch! (Gelukkig is er een gastenlijst voor oud-existenz en moest ik zelf niet aanschuiven…) Je moet inderdaad eens door de week komen! De workshops en lezingen zijn altijd heel interessant en er komt veel fijn volk :)
